TIA FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS URGED TO AVOID DISTRACTIONS AND FOCUS ON THEIR STUDIES

October 26, 2026

First-year students at the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) have been urged to avoid distractions and concentrate on their studies to achieve their academic goals. The call was made on October 19, 2026, by TIA Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Mugisha Kamara, during an orientation programme held at the TIA Headquarters in Kurasini, Dar es Salaam.

Dr. Kamara encouraged the students to use their time wisely and remain committed to their education. He emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and making good decisions throughout their academic journey.

He further advised the students to stay focused on their studies and avoid activities that could prevent them from achieving their goals. He noted that dedication and responsible use of time are important for academic success and future career development.

Meanwhile, the President of the TIA Students’ Government welcomed the new students to the institution and encouraged them to make good use of their time at college. The president also urged them to take their studies seriously while developing their talents and creative abilities.

The president added that developing talents and creativity would help students prepare for both present and future opportunities. The orientation programme aimed to help new students understand the college environment and prepare them for a successful academic journey at TIA.
