The Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI) aimed at strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions.
The agreement focuses on promoting collaboration in key areas including joint research, student and staff exchange programmes, as well as cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Rector of TIA, Professor William Amos Pallangyo, emphasized the importance of international partnerships in enhancing academic excellence, research development, and knowledge sharing. He noted that the partnership will create new opportunities for both students and staff to benefit from international exposure and collaborative academic initiatives.
The Deputy Rector of Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics Sergei Dmitrievich Erokhin, also highlighted the significance of global academic collaboration in advancing innovation, technology, and institutional development.
Following the signing ceremony, Professor William Amos Pallangyo and Sergey Dmitrievich Erokhin exchanged gifts as a symbol of goodwill and strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. The event concluded with a group photo session involving TIA management and the visiting delegation from MTUCI.
The partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening international academic collaboration and promoting the development of education, research, and technology between Tanzania and the Russian Federation.
