PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT UNIT

The Procurement Management Unit is led by the Manager who reports to the Deputy Rector for Planning, Finance, and Administration (DR PFA), the unit plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the Institute’s objectives. It is responsible for managing procurement and disposal activities through tender processes, supporting the tender board, implementing its decisions, and acting as its secretariat. The PMU plans procurement activities, recommends procedures, prepares statements and tender documents, advertises opportunities, and handles contract-related documents. It maintains records, including contracts awarded, and prepares monthly and quarterly reports for the tender board and management. Additionally, the PMU coordinates procurement and disposal activities across all Institute departments and prepares other requested reports
