TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2014/2015 ACADEMIC YEAR
The Chief Executive Officer of Tanzania Institute of Accountancy invites applications from qualified candidates for the admission to the following training opportunities for 2014/2015 academic year.

1.0 Basic Technician Certificate Programmes (NTA Level 4): (One academic year / Two semesters)
  1. Basic Technician Certificate in Accountancy (BTCA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
  2. Basic Technician Certificate in Procurement and Logistics Management (BTCPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
  3. Basic Technician Certificate in Human Resource Management (BTCHRM) - DAR ES SALAAM, MTWARA, & SINGIDA (Full time)
  4. Basic Technician Certificate in Business Administration (BTCBA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time)
  5. Basic Technician Certificate in Public Sector Accounting and Finance (BTCPSF) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Full time and Evening)
  6. Basic Technician Certificate in Marketing and Public Relations (BTCMPR) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Full time and Evening)

Minimum entry requirements: Four passes of grade "D" in relevant subjects excluding Religious subjects or above in the Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education OR National Vocational Award LEVEL 2

2.0 Diploma Programmes (NTA Level 5 & 6 ): (Two academic years / Four Semesters)
  1. Diploma in Accountancy (DA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
  2. Diploma in Procurement & Logistics Management (DPLM) -DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA , SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
  3. Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening) MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time)
  4. Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening) MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time)
  5. Diploma in Public Sector Accounting and Finance (DPSF) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Evening)
  6. Diploma in Marketing and Public Relations (DMPR) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Evening)

Minimum entry requirements:

  1. Basic Technician Certificate in related programmes
    2. Certificates from other institutes will be evaluated by the institute
  2. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with at least two subsidiary passes in relevant subjects excluding Religious Subjects
3.0 Bachelor Programmes (NTA Level 7 & 8 ): (Three academic years / Six semesters)
  1. Bachelor in Accounting (BAC) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)
  2. Bachelor in Procurement and Logistics Management (BPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM Full time and Evening)
  3. Bachelor in Human Resource Management (BHRM) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)
  4. Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)
  5. Bachelor in Public Sector Accounting and Finance(BPSF) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)
  6. Bachelor in Marketing and Public Relations(BMPR) - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)

Minimum entry requirements:

  1. At least Two (2) Principal passes (in relevant subjects excluding Religious subjects) in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) and, with total points not below 3.5 passes on the following scale:
    A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1, S=0.5;
    In addition candidates must have passed ENGLISH and MATHEMATICS at ‘O’ level for BAC, BPLM and BPSF
    2. OR
  2. FTC with at least C grade in relevant subjects
    OR
  3. Ordinary Diploma with at least Second Class. For NTA 6 GPA of not less than 2.7

NOTE: This category should apply through Central Admission System(www.tcu.go.tz) for form Six ; www.nacte.go.tz for Diploma Holders.

4.0 Post Graduate Programmes: (One academic year / Two semesters)
  1. Post graduate Diploma in Accountancy (PGDA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
  2. Post graduate Diploma in Procurement and logistics Management (PGDPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM,MBEYA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)
Minimum entry requirements:
  1. Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Procurement from any reputable institution
    2. OR
  2. NBAA’s CPA or PSPTB’s CPSP
MODE OF APPLICATION
  1. Application forms can be downloaded at www.tia.ac.tz and submitted to any of our Campuses DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA OR sent to CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER P.O. BOX 9522, DAR ES SALAAM. Forms must be accompanied by evidence of payment of non refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Shillings (T.Shs.20,000/=). Applicants should pay the application fee through our Bank Account No. 2061100017 NMB and submit Bank Pay-in-slip to the Institute.
  2. All applications must be attached with genuine photocopies of all academic certificates/results Slips, transcripts, Statement of results or relevant certificates where applicable. Candidates are warned not to attach photocopies of forged certificates or irrelevant Information on their application forms otherwise they will not be considered and legal action will be taken against them.
