Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania. It is also the country's richest city and a regionally important economic centre. Dar es Salaam is an administrative province within Tanzania, and consists of three local government areas or administrative districts: Kinondoni to the north, Ilala in the centre of the region, and Temeke to the south .Tanzania Institute is locate at the Juction of Mandela Road and Kilwa road. Mbeya is one of the four campuses of TIA. The campus is found in Mbeya region which is part of southern highlands of Tanzania.The campus is found in the centre of MBEYA City, at the junction of Zambia/Airport Road.It is off course found adjacent to Mbeya Airport.

The campus is accessible by all major means of transport. Ie Road, railway, Airport. The main road to Zambia passes near the campus gates (entrances), TAZARA railway line only passes in about four (4) kilometers from the campus.It is very interesting that the city airport is only adjacent to our Campus and it is in a walking distance (less than five minutes walk).
EXISTING SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE
OVERVIEW Economic development is influenced by among other factors, adequate supporting infrastructure of which Mtwara has a lot of potential. However, the region's economic infrastructure is underdeveloped. The region's communication links with its neighbours and the outside are rudimentary and seasonal. Domestic links from one corner to another are uncertain and sometimes perilous. The region's roads can claim accessibility into or out of the region for a limited period of five to six months in a year.Mtwara , nevertheless, endowed with a natural deep harbour embraced with a remarkably productive hinterland. But the port cannot be accessed on account of poor road links. Hence the port remains with under utilized capacity.
Mwanza is the second largest city in Tanzania situated in north-west Tanzania. The city acts as a port on the shores of Lake Victoria as well as a major commercial centre not only for Tanzania but the Great lakes region (with countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi) where a lot of inter-country bussiness is carried out. The geographical location of Mwanza is such that the weather remains favorable all throughout the year. The beautiful Tanzanian city is surrounded by awe-inspiring landscape features. The Bismarck Rocks are wonderful to look at with large deposits of granite. The Victoria Lake in the backdrop enhances the beauty of Mwanza. Mwanza Airport is close to the main city and there are daily flights to and from Dar es Salam, Arusha, Bukoba and Shinyanga and even beyond Trade relations are well-maintained as railways connect Mwanza to Dar es Salam and Dodoma. Singida is one of the regions of Tanzania. The region is bordered to the North by Shinyanga Region, to the Northeast by Manyara Region, to the East by Dodoma Region, to the Southeast by Iringa Region, to the Southwest by Mbeya Region and to the West by Tabora Region. It is accessible from Arusha through Babati and Kateshi in Manyara Region; Dar es salaam, Iringa and Mbeya through Dodoma and Tabora, Shinyanga and Mwanza through Nzega in Tabora Region. Although not all the roads are passable all the year round, they expected to be so in the near future when the connections to Arusha, Dodoma and Mbeya will be tarmac.
