image Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania. It is also the country's richest city and a regionally important economic centre. Dar es Salaam is an administrative province within Tanzania, and consists of three local government areas or administrative districts: Kinondoni to the north, Ilala in the centre of the region, and Temeke to the south .Tanzania Institute is locate at the Juction of Mandela Road and Kilwa road. The Institute resources like well equipped computer lab, library and over head projectors and A fully furnished study rooms with high speed WIFI facilitate effective teaching, learning and research experience.

Mbeya is one of the four campuses of TIA. The campus is found in Mbeya region which is part of southern highlands of Tanzania.The campus is found in the centre of MBEYA City, at the junction of Zambia/Airport Road.It is off course found adjacent to Mbeya Airport. The distance from Dar Es Salaam to MBEYA stands at 850 km. The distance from MBEYA to Tunduma (the boarder of Tanzania/ Zambia stand at 98 Km. It is approximately 100km from MBEYA to Tanzania/Malawi boarder The Region has one of the most pleasant weather, ideal for studies and residences. It mostly resembles to the Europe weather. The campus is accessible by all major means of transport. Ie Road, railway, Airport. The main road to Zambia passes near the campus gates (entrances), TAZARA railway line only passes in about four (4) kilometers from the campus.It is very interesting that the city airport is only adjacent to our Campus and it is in a walking distance (less than five minutes walk).
EXISTING SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE OVERVIEW
Economic development is influenced by among other factors, adequate supporting infrastructure of which Mtwara has a lot of potential. However, the region's economic infrastructure is underdeveloped. The region's communication links with its neighbours and the outside are rudimentary and seasonal. Domestic links from one corner to another are uncertain and sometimes perilous. The region's roads can claim accessibility into or out of the region for a limited period of five to six months in a year.Mtwara , nevertheless, endowed with a natural deep harbour embraced with a remarkably productive hinterland. But the port cannot be accessed on account of poor road links. Hence the port remains with under utilized capacity.
Mwanza is the second largest city in Tanzania situated in north-west Tanzania. The city acts as a port on the shores of Lake Victoria as well as a major commercial centre not only for Tanzania but the Great lakes region (with countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi) where a lot of inter-country bussiness is carried out. The geographical location of Mwanza is such that the weather remains favorable all throughout the year. The beautiful Tanzanian city is surrounded by awe-inspiring landscape features. The Bismarck Rocks are wonderful to look at with large deposits of granite. The Victoria Lake in the backdrop enhances the beauty of Mwanza. Mwanza Airport is close to the main city and there are daily flights to and from Dar es Salam, Arusha, Bukoba and Shinyanga and even beyond Trade relations are well-maintained as railways connect Mwanza to Dar es Salam and Dodoma. Roads also connect the city to all the Regional Capitals Tanzania Institute of accountacy is located 10KM from Mwanza City Center along to Musoma Mwanza Road
A warm, safe, and caring environment of Mwanza Campus allows students to “influence the nature of the activities they undertake, engage seriously in their study, regulate their behavior, and know of the explicit criteria and high expectations of what they are to achieve.
image Singida is one of the regions of Tanzania. The region is bordered to the North by Shinyanga Region, to the Northeast by Manyara Region, to the East by Dodoma Region, to the Southeast by Iringa Region, to the Southwest by Mbeya Region and to the West by Tabora Region.
It is accessible from Arusha through Babati and Kateshi in Manyara Region; Dar es salaam, Iringa and Mbeya through Dodoma and Tabora, Shinyanga and Mwanza through Nzega in Tabora Region. Although not all the roads are passable all the year round, they expected to be so in the near future when the connections to Arusha, Dodoma and Mbeya will be tarmac. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2013/2014 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Chief Executive Officer of Tanzania Institute of Accountancy invites applications from qualified candidates for the admission to the following training opportunities for 2013/2014 academic year.

1.0 Basic Technician Certificate Programmes (NTA Level 4): (One academic year / Two semesters)

     (i) Basic Technician Certificate in Accountancy (BTCA) – DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)

    (ii) Basic Technician Certificate in Procurement and Logistics Management (BTCPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM,MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)

   (iii) Basic Technician Certificate in Human Resource Management (BTCHRM) - DAR ES SALAAM, MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time)

   (iv) Basic Technician Certificate in Business Administration (BTCBA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MTWARA  &SINGIDA (Full time)

Minimum entry requirements:  Four passes of grade "D" in relevant subjects excluding Nutrition, Religious subjects and Needlework or above in the Ordinary Certificate of Secondary   Education. OR NVA LEVEL 2

     (ii) Diploma in Procurement & Logistics Management (DPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM (Evening),MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA &   MWANZA (Full time and Evening)

     (iii) Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) – MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time),DAR ES SALAAM (Evening)      

     (iv) Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM) - MTWARA & SINGIDA (Full time), DAR ES SALAAM (Evening)

     (v) Diploma in Public Sector Accounting and Finance (DPSF) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Evening)        

     (vi) Diploma in Marketing and Public Relations (DMPR) - DAR ES SALAAM & MBEYA (Evening)        

     Minimum entry requirements:

     (i) Basic Technician Certificate in related programmes.

         Certificates from other institutes will be evaluated by the institute

     (ii) Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with at least two subsidiary passes in relevant subjects excluding Religious Subjects.                                                                                                                   

3.0  Bachelor Programmes  (NTA Level 7 & 8 ):   (Three academic years / Six semesters)

      (i) Bachelor in Accounting (BAC)    - DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)

      (ii) Bachelor  in Procurement and logistics Management  (BPLM) -  DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)

      (iii) Bachelor in Human Resource management (BHRM) -  DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)

      (iv) Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)- DAR ES SALAAM (Full time and Evening)

      (v) Bachelor in Public Sector Accounting and Finance(BPSF) - DAR ES SALAAM(Full time)

      (vi) Bachelor in Marketing and Public Relations(BMPR) - DAR ES SALAAM(Full time)

Minimum entry requirements:

(i) At least Two (2) Principal passes (in relevant subjects excluding Religious subjects) in the Advanced  Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) and, with total points not below 3.5 passes on the following scale:

   A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1, S=0.5;

In addition candidates must have passed ENGLISH and MATHEMATICS at ‘O’ level for BAC, BPLM and BPSF.             OR

(ii) FTC with at least C grade in relevant subjects.

                                                   OR

(iii) Ordinary Diploma with Lower Second Class. For NTA 6 GPA of not less than 2.7

 4.0 Post Graduate   Programmes: (One academic year / Two semesters)

      (i) Post graduate Diploma in Accountancy (PGDA) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)

      (ii) Post graduate Diploma in Procurement and logistics Management (PGDPLM) - DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA & MWANZA (Full time and Evening)

 Minimum entry requirements:

(i) Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Procurement from any reputable institution

OR

(ii) NBAA’s CPA or PSPTB’s CPSP

All Programmes start in September. Dully filled application forms should be returned not later than 30th May 2013.

 MODE OF APPLICATION

(a) Application forms can be downloaded at www.tia.ac.tz and submitted to any of our Campuses DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA, SINGIDA, MTWARA & MWANZA OR sent to CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER P.O. BOX 9522, DAR ES SALAAM. Forms must be accompanied by evidence of payment of non refundable fee of Twenty (Shs.20, 000/=. Applicants should pay the application fee through our Bank Account No. 2061100017 NMB and submit Bank Pay-in-slip to the Institute.

(b) All applications must be attached with genuine photocopies of all academic certificates/results Slips, transcripts, Statement of results or relevant certificates where applicable. Candidates are warned not to attach photocopies of forged certificates or irrelevant Information on their application forms otherwise they will not be considered and legal action will be taken against them

(c) Candidates who wish to apply for Bachelor degree programmes do so direct through Central Admission System(CAS)

(d) Candidates should return to the undersigned, the Application Forms duly filled not later than 30th May 2013
